Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing a sweet fall session right here in local Euharlee / Cartersville, GA for Amberlynn and her family! Fun story—we actually met on TikTok. She’s a talented local cottage baker and a mom of four who just moved her family to the Cartersville area this past summer.

Our session started with a curveball before it even began. I pulled up to our original location only to find an unannounced event taking over the entire venue! Thankfully, as a local photographer servicing Cartersville, Acworth, and Rome, I always have backup spots ready. We pivoted to my favorite go-to field nearby, which turned out to be a total blessing—the overgrown field gave us the most dreamy, golden fall family photo backdrop.

Once we got going, the kids were rockstars! We captured about 20 solid minutes of absolute magic: giggles, sweet connections, and gorgeous golden-hour light. And then… like clockwork with little ones, things went downhill fast. 😂

Meltdowns happened, attention spans ended, and toddler reality set in. But Amberlynn and her husband were complete inspirations. Instead of stressing, they kept their cool, laughed through the struggle, and just embraced their family as they are right now.

As a lifestyle family photographer, that’s my favorite part. The best photos aren't always the ones where everyone is sitting perfectly still and staring at the lens. They’re the real ones—breakdowns, silly faces, genuine laughs, and all.
